Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - The Florida Marlins signed first baseman/outfielder Christian Yelich, the 23rd overall pick in this year's draft, just prior to a midnight deadline Monday. The 18-year-old Yelich played for Westlake High School in Westlake Village, CA. Theleft-handed hitting Yelich reportedly received a deal worth $1.7 million, according to the Palm Beach Post.
